ICW is blessed to have an abundance of dedicated and hard-working volunteers. The members below have been nominated by our board for their outstanding efforts in our clinics, may it be through dependability, leadership, or kindness, among other commendable traits!
I went to CSU San Bernardino where I got a B.S. in Chemistry. I like watching and playing sports, doesn’t matter which ones, although my favorite are soccer and baseball. I also like watching Netflix; some of my favorite shows are Criminal Minds and Grey’s Anatomy. I was first interested in ICW because of the friendly environment and the opportunity to give back to the underserved. It’s the ability to keep giving back to the community that keeps me motivated to be a part of this organization.
I graduated from University of California, Santa Barbara in 2018 as a Biopsychology major. Once I enrolled into the PHAP program, I wanted to know more about the Hayward community and see how I can be involved. ICW fulfilled both of them as they allow me to closely interact with Hayward natives through health screenings. The members are very close and they made feel like I’m a part of a family, not just a member. Besides being an active member of ICW, I like to spend my time watching movies, taking long drives while listening to Audible or podcasts, exercising, and last but not least, sleep.
